A CREATIVE PHOTOSHOOT
Come join us for our first “Creative Shoot” of the year. We will place colored gels in front of our strobes for some truly unique images. These gels will allow us to ‘play’ with light and shine different color effects on you. This is a great opportunity to add some unique images to your portfolio. This event will be held at Chapel Theatre in Milwaukie, Oregon. NOTE: All COVID-19 rules will be enforced. Facemasks will be required at all times.
Fun Day – One Low Price
Models, your entry fee to the event gets you:
• Approximately 1 hour of shooting time in front of the camera shared between two photographers.
• Each photographer has their own unique style; You get two great looks!
• Two backgrounds, each with different color gels and setup for a variety of images for your portfolio.
• Color correction and general editing is included.
• You will receive a digital download link for all final images.
• Files are HiRes and suitable for Social Media, computers, cell phones, etc.
How Do I Pay For My Spot?
First off, we are limited to a max of 8 models for this event. Once we are sold out there will be no additional tickets. You select the group you want to be in A/B/C/D. Your ticket selection will define your check-in time and when your photoshoot will start. NOTE: we will open sales for Sessions A & B first. Once those are sold out we will open up Session C and then Session D.
FAQ
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? – The short answer is, whatever you want. Your vision is our vision ? Being indoors with studio lighting, many of these shots will be closer, more of a tight portrait to maximize the color effect. We will also be throwing COLOR onto you. You should wear sold light colors with little to no accents. White will work the best. Very busy patterns may not work well for this shoot and you should stay away from outfits that are all black or very dark. We also recommend you concentrate on your makeup and jewelry as the details will stand out.
HOW LONG WILL MY PHOTOSHOOT BE? – Regardless of which session you choose, you will have roughly one hour of time. This translates to approximately 30min with the first photographer, and 30min with a second photographer.
HOW MANY OUTFIT CHANGES CAN I HAVE? – You may change as many times as you wish, but keep in mind you have just one hour. It might be best for you to take off or add a jacket, shrug, hat, etc. Or quickly switch out a prop; something simple and fast. If you do leave to change into a completely different outfit/wardrobe, this will affect the actual amount of time you have in front of the camera.
IS THERE A GUARANTEED NUMBER OF IMAGES? – The short answer is no. This event is not about producing a ton of random images. It is about creating great, high-quality images. That being said you will receive ‘many’ images; in line with what our previous events have brought you. – typically 10-15 edited images from each photographer.
CAN I PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE TICKET? – YES! If you truly want a complete outfit change, or just the opportunity to have more time to work on a particular style with the photographer(s), we recommend you purchase two tickets. That will give you more time to complete anything you have in mind. – Contact us if you wish to do this.
WHAT IF I ARRIVE LATE? – We highly recommend you arrive by your check-in time. This will give you one hour to check-in (paperwork), finish any last min details before your shoot (hair, makeup), and be 100% ready to move upstairs for the start of your photoshoot. Remember, you are reserving one hour of time with the photographer(s). As such we are not able to allow your session to go over into the next session. Please plan ahead accordingly. The price of your ticket helps us pay for the rental fee and keeps Vision Makers PDX running. As such no refunds will be issued.
How Does Vision Makers PDX Keep Me Safe?
As we progress into 2021, many areas of society are starting to open back up. We want to keep everyone safe so social distancing will be in place for all aspects of our event. We chose this indoor venue so it would be much easier for everyone to keep their distance. We believe everyone has a right to their own level of protection, but this event has min guidelines. As such there are a few rules for this event:
• FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES – Unless you are in front of the camera and being actively photographed you must wear your mask (no exceptions!)
• Keep social distancing in place at a level you and the photographer agree on BEFOREHAND.
• Models will need to do their own hair & makeup.
• NO SHARING of makeup, tools, equipment clothes, drinks, food, etc. (bring what you need, don’t share)
• We will limit the number of participants to maximize social distancing.
• Models & photographers only. No guests allowed. Paid attendees & staff only.
• Plan ahead – bring what you need for the event. Don’t assume someone else will be providing it for you.
• Both the model and the photographer must be wearing a facemask when viewing images from the back of a camera.
• Besides being required to sign a model release, there will be a COVID waiver for you to sign.
• We have a touchless thermometer and will use it during the check-in process to confirm your temperature is normal.
• Please understand that Social Distancing rules are fluid, and as such, rules may change. We will follow the current rules in place for the county, at the time the event happens.
Anybody found to be non-compliant with the above, will not be allowed to attend any future Vision Maker Events.
